Sto. Tomas Batangas

Today, I celebrate my birthday. I am very thankful for the gift of LIFE. Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina is famous when it comes to healing. I’ve been to Saint Padre Pio in Libis Quezon City and I feel the spirit as I enter the said church.

I got interested visiting their church in Sto. Tomas Batangas on my Birthday to send prayers also intended for my mother who’s very ill at the moment. She’s having stage 2A breast cancer and we are really concerned about her health. I am hoping that St. Padre Pio would be of help by sending our prayers Lord God.

We went out around 7 am to start our journey. We arrived to Batangas at around 11:30 am. Good thing, we were able to attend the scheduled mass of 12 noon.

We were looking around and we were so amazed by the holy place.

The interior of the church was extremely awesome as it’s like everything was made of bamboo.

We offered special intention for the 12 noon mass for my mother. Masses can be offered for special intentions. The donation for every intention was PhP 100. They were giving out receipt too.

On the other hand, if you would like to give any amount, there are envelopes in the area where you could write your wish/es and slip in donation to go with your petition.

After the mass, the priest requested everyone to approach in front of the altar with the items they wanted to be blessed. He said a short prayer and prayed over everyone before the blessing of the Holy Water.

Ricky and I were exploring the place.

There’s an area where you could light up your candles.

We bought candles with different colors. Each color had its own meaning.

Before you lit up your candle, you need to pray.

Here are some of the areas that we explored.

*Relic of the Holy Cross

*Stations of the Cross

*Holy water Sanctuary

*Saint Pio Fountain of Hope

Beside the Fountain of Hope, people could lock their prayers through handkerchief, rosary or padlock.
